Common questions
Good to know.
How long until I can roll my windows down?
Give it 3–5 days depending on weather. The film needs time to fully adhere; small moisture pockets you see in the first days are normal and evaporate as it cures.
How long does a tint install take?
Most full vehicles (sides and rear) are done in a few hours; add-ons like sun strips or sunroofs add a bit more. Drop it off in the morning at our London shop and it's usually ready the same day.
Will tint interfere with my phone or GPS?
Not with our films. Carbon and ceramic lines are metal-free, so Bluetooth, GPS, 5G, and toll transponders all work exactly as before.
What window tint is legal in Ontario?
Ontario prohibits aftermarket film on the windshield (a top sun strip is the exception) and requires that front side windows allow a clear view of the driver. Rear side windows and the back glass can be tinted as dark as you like. We'll walk you through compliant options up front so there are no surprises.
Does tint bubble or turn purple over time?
Cheap dyed film does. The carbon and ceramic films we install are colour-stable and backed by manufacturer warranty against bubbling, peeling, and fading.
Can you remove my old, bubbled tint first?
Yes, old film and adhesive removal is a common part of the job. We strip it clean, including over defroster lines, then install fresh film properly.
Does window tint help in winter too?
It does. Tint cuts glare, including low winter sun and snow glare, blocks UV year-round, and ceramic films add a measure of insulation that helps the cabin hold temperature.
How much does window tinting cost in London, Ontario?
