When daytime highs sit around 7°C, usually late October to mid November. Winter compounds stay soft in the cold and grip better than all-seasons even on dry pavement. We book changeovers in advance so you're not waiting on the first snow day.
Yes. All-wheel drive helps you get moving; it does nothing to help you stop or turn. Braking distance on ice is about the tire, not the drivetrain.
Summer tires use a softer compound and a tread tuned for warm, dry and wet roads, so they grip and steer better above 7°C and wear faster in the cold. All-seasons trade some of that grip for longer life and year-round use.
If the puncture is in the tread area and smaller than about 6 mm, usually yes, with a proper plug-patch from the inside. Sidewall damage or a tire that was driven flat needs replacing. We'll tell you which it is. How a proper flat repair works.
On all-wheel-drive vehicles, usually yes, or at least match the tread depth closely. On two-wheel-drive vehicles you can replace in pairs, with the newer pair on the rear.
Most all-seasons run 60,000 to 100,000 km depending on the tire and how you drive. Age matters too: rubber hardens, so anything past about six years gets a close look regardless of tread.
Yes. Have them shipped to the shop or bring them in. We mount, balance, install and torque, and handle TPMS.
